The location was incredible, walking distance to restaurants and cafés. All of the staff members were smart and efficient. The restaurant was really nice for dinner, we ordered excellent dishes.

Staff always exceptional and welcoming.
Fairly clean and upscale place. Quiet and fancy rooms with a very comfortable bed! A great selection of appetising options for meal. Incredible location in the pretty nice area, really close to the Three Sisters as well as restaurants, tons of cafes, even an Aldi supermarket. Again, not far from a neighbouring gallery. Simply nothing to complain about, such great stay.

The location was good and absolutely perfect for walking around a neighbouring gallery. The breakfast meal was good hot and savoury with toast and hot items, as for instance.

Delicious and savoury breakfast selection with hardworking waitress, toast plus croissants served in the dining room. Great and lovely location close to Street Art Walk.

Everything was great, nonetheless we stayed for 1 night only. Booked a room in a shocking condition. Very very good breakfasts on top of the continental, liked it.

Wonderful and clean place, lovely view to the West and South over the town. Delicious breakfast with variety of delicacies and exceptional staff. Magnificent, stunning location so close to everything. Just next door to shops and food, the echo point, and delicious restaurants. Quick check-in, parking on site. Had free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Honestly no complains at all.

Everything met what was needed, I would like to come again. Accommodation was reasonably large and delightful, beds were lovely. The room was fantastic and fabulous, and the bathroom was best. The view to the West and South over the town was exceptionally good. Great location, it was just off Katoomba town centre, restaurants and key attractions and the downtown.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of town, with a location that can't be beaten. The prices are reasonable and the attention to detail is impressive. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms may not have a view, but they are comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed. The complimentary breakfast is a great way to start the day.
All was fine, no improvements needed.

There was really nothing to like about this place.
Do not stay at this place! For the high price we paid we got a small room with crumbling plaster, no extra blanket, an air-conditioning system that could not be worked from our room (only after complaining, the manager switched on the heating... But even after that when I switched off the a/c after I while I could not turn it back on!), no stopper for the bath tub, a missing light bulb, no minibar and no hand towels. The hotel folder in the room said bath robes for the sauna could be obtained from the reception; however at reception I was told that they only had towels. The folder said the sauna was open 24 hours a day and that several types of massages were available. However, the sauna closed at 8pm and only one type of massage was available. The sauna was switched off when I went there. After alerting the manager he allegedly turned it on and said it would be ready within 10 minutes. After an hour it still was not hot.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at the Palais Royal. The staff were exceptionally friendlly, helpful and polite. Apparently the weekend we stayed the Head Concierge informed us that the hotel had recently changed management and the running of the Hotel had improved significantly. I tend to agree, the whole experience of our weekend stay at this beautiful and historic hotel was amazing. Our room was very clean, the king size bed was very comfortable, better than any of the 5 star hotels I've stayed at, the staff were very accommodating, the buffet breakfast was plentiful, fresh & delicious. The decor, lounge areas were exquisite and inviting. The hotel is in the main street of Katoomba, and walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shops, etc... I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at the Palais Royal, we really enjoyed our stay there. And if you decide to stay, make sure you say hello to Ron at the front desk, he is ever so friendly and helpful. Enjoy!! Kerrie & Mark
